Esteemed Patrons, Friends and All Dear ones,

I am very glad to share with you a very happy news – about a great honour that has been bestowed on the Vivekananda Trust on this Independence Day, 2007: Your Coordinator, Arunachal Pradesh has been selected by the Arunachal Govt. for a Governor’s Silver Medal, in recognition of the service activities that we had been conducting in our region. The formal presentation of the Medal will be made on Republic Day, 2008.

The award of Medals is an annual event, but it is mostly awarded to the State & central Govt. officials for their meritorious services.

Though the medal is conferred on a personal level, I am fully aware that this honour has come, only because of the selfless and committed support that you have been extending to us to continue the work of Vivekananda Trust in the Lohit & Dibang valley region of Eastern Arunachal Pradesh. I must also place on record the kind and wholehearted support received from several Govt. officials, friends, local leaders, teachers and students that enabled us to organize programmes successfully. Our special regards and thanks are due to our esteemed patrons Sri. Prashant Lokhande, IAS, former Deputy Commissioner, Lohit and Anjaw and Sri. Chowna Mein, Hon’ble Minister, Rural development.

As you are already aware, I have been invited to New Delhi to receive the AWIC 2007 Roll of Honour of the Association of Writers & Illustrators for Children, on Sept 17, 2007 morning. The Hon’ble Minister has also kindly provided me to and fro air-ticket to attend the same.

On this occasion, while I seek your continued support and patronage, I also assure you that we shall always strive to contribute our best for the all-round development of the youth and children of the State.
